Re: Grip Journal
Daniel, I was checking out your suitcase deadlift pic, is the bar you are using a standard bar with a 2in sleeve over it?
Also 170x8 on shrugs is amazing. Good going.

Thanks!
The bar is a strange specimen! It's a 2" solid steel thickbar with 1" ends!
I found it on Ebay years ago (when manufactured thickbars were much more rare) and I won it for £30!
What's more the courier wouldn't accept it so the seller delivered it to my door (saving me another £30) for free!

HG200 1 x 5
Vulcan Level 3: 1 x 5
Vulcan Level 4: 1 x 1
Vulcan Level 5: 1 x 1
Vulcan Level 6: 1 x 1
Vulcan Level 7: Fail.

This is the first test run of the vulcan and I'm please to say that it's a tad easier than I initially thought since I ridded of my forearm DOMS and chalked up. It's still brutal in comparison to a regular torsion srping gripper though.
The two hand setting seems quite tricky. I'm not sure if I'm benefitting from it since my left hand is grapsing the end of the handle where my pinkie should be therefore I find my gripping hand is further up the handle making for less leverage.
I'll be banding up the gripper to give me a stepping stone between lvl 6 and 7.

Re: Grip Journal
It seems I'm warming to this quite quickly having just closed a Level 9!
I'm still having problems finding strength to work the set, pause (card in) then close since my set and close is worked into one motion as the videos demonstrate.
Vulcan Level 3: x 5
Vulcan Level 4: x 5
Vulcan Level 5: x 5
Vulcan Level 6: x 1
Vulcan Level 7: x 1
Vulcan Level 8: x 1
Vulcan Level 9: x 1 - PB
Level 9 close:
Failled Level 9 CCS: (ignore text reading "level 8")

Cheers!
The RT purchase is still on the agenda. I just need to free up some cash.

Vulcan Level 3: x 5
Vulcan Level 4: x 5
Vulcan Level 6: x 1
Vulcan Level 7: x 1 - CCS
That marks my proper CCS Level 7 close.
David, do I qualify for a leadboard position?

Re: Grip Journal
I'm getting the hang of this very quickly!
I had a Level 9 a few mm from closure too!
Vulcan Level 8 CCS:
I'll be sure to do my Level 9 attempt in broad daylight for a more clear vid.
