England’s Strongest Man final

Elite Strongman Promotions are proud to announce the venue and date for the 2009 myprotein.co.uk Englands Strongest Man have been confirmed.

This is to happen Sunday 5th July and Lichfield Rugby Club, Tamworth road, Lichfield. WS14 9JE 1pm start

Here the 12 strongest men, (4 Northern, 4 Midlands, and 4 Southern) who have qualified through fair trials of strength will compete against reigning Englands and Britains Strongest Man Jimmy Marku..

265kg Axle squat
Farmers walk (for distance)
Wooden log (for max weight)
Hand over hand truck pull
Big Van lift 300kg plus
Stones (130kg-190kgs)

The top 6 from the England’s Strongest Man final will qualify for the 2009 UK Strongest Man final to be held in Belfast in August. With the 2008 UK Strongest Man having viewing figures in excess of 1million, and the exposure for any athlete who qualifies for this so great the 2009 England’s Strongest Man is set to be one of the toughest competitions ever held on English soil.

There can only be one champion, who will be crowned the strongest man in England. Please come and support all the lads who have trained and fought so hard to get here.

That was a contest run for qualification purposes for the World's Strongest Man comp, as there is no Britain's Strongest Man this year.

Just got back from the comp, did the photos like last year and will try and get them up later.
