strongman scoring question
I have organised a strongman comp for 24/5/09. The original ref has pulled out and I will probably be the ref now and compete as a guest.
I am happy with the timing/measuring etc but not 100% with the scoring.
If you have more than 10 lifters ....and assuming there are no tied places...do you score like this? You know, guys after 10th place all get 1 point?
Also, what happens if someone fails to 'start' an event. e.g can't lift the axle at all or can't get the yoke across the start line. do they get 1 point or 0?
lifterA 10
lifterB 9
lifterC 8
lifterD 7
lifterE 6
lifterF 5
lifterG 4
lifterH 3
lifterI 2
lifterJ 1
lifterK 1

Re: strongman scoring question
No probs.
The last few times I've used it I have done reverse scoring, ie. 1pt for the win. It seemed even easier to do.
