Wag Bennett's Gym
Here are a few pics of the stuff I picked up from Wag's gym last night. 5 hrs round trip, nearly killed my dad's car, and barely made a dent in what's left. Apparently they had a load of nice globe dumbells and barbells but some bloke called David bought them all

Time's running out for the rest of the gear, which sadly will be scrapped if nobody takes it.

Mark,
Nice stuff.
Like the little Hercules weights, what size are they? These are from the 70's and were later sold at the Bill Stevens body shop.
Are the dumbells made up from the Woolger discs?
I'd love to go down again, is it still all at the gym?
But with us moving on the 5th and the house full of boxes I don't think I can really get down for more discs.
Thanks for pics

Re: Wag Bennett's Gym
Cheers- the Hercules plates are only 5lb but well over 1" thick- about the same as 3 of the big 20lb George Grose plates! The discs on the dumbells are totally smooth and the collars are welded on-the only extra details I can see is that they were painted black. In fact, except for the York and Hercules plates, everything seems to have been painted black at some point.
The house part of the gym has been cleared and everything that's left is in the church- and there is loads. I was told it's got to be cleared in less than 6 weeks now- the end of an era.
Good luck with the move, hope the globe bells are ok.
