My crap car...and the drug baron

I bought a crappy 12 year old subaru a few months ago when I returned to Edinburgh and it has been nothing but hassle.

Within a few days part of the exhaust needed repaired.

Then the radiator leaked and so did a water pump.

Then the handle came off the glovebox locking all the contents inside.

Then I read the paper today and saw this article about the bloke who sold me it

I reckon I should check the spare tyre for any 'extras'

interesting how he got 13 years sentence in 1997 but got out in 2002. If he'd served full term he'd still be in prison now and you wouldn't have a crappy subaru.
Would you confront him?

Tell him the car is crap and you want your money back.

Nah, there is no chance of getting my money back.

I have a mate who is a mechanic who patched up the worst defects while laughing his head off about me being so stupid.

He fixes up cheap cars and MOT's them and normally gives a month's warranty on major parts. A few weeks ago a gorgeous woman turned up to collect a car and he gave her TWO months warranty. He described it as the 'wonder bra effect'

He probably did half the sentence for good behaviour plus time off for being on remand.

Looks like he's gone from being Tony Montana to Arthur Daley now.

Drug dealers and cars eh? A son of a friend had a garage and repaired cars for such people. On one the interior panels dropped down to reveal neatly attached gun clips

Might be worth checking the "inside" of your Scooby!
