Any Internet experts out there?

There are certain sites which I cant get on anymore for some reason.The sites will try to load but the screen just stays white.I tried downloading the new version of Java but that hasnt helped.I have little knowledge of this stuff so any ideas would be great

Try a different browser. If you're using IE then try FireFox or Google Chrome. Sometimes sites just "timeout" in certain browsers, E-Bay is a particularly notorious one.
