Scottish grip comps (Edinburgh)
Guys,
Who would be interested in a grip comp in Edinburgh?
I am looking to get something organised for the future but not sure who else is in my area (or wants to travel) to a comp.
I have a garage which I can use for a daytime comp. It is part of a series of quiet lockups so the venue is not a problem and we can make as much noise as we want.
I just need competitors. Anyone interested?
James

I would be interested for sure mate. I'd have to stay 2 nights as getting to Edinburgh would involve an 11 hour train journey for me. Any rough idea when the comp would be?

Money would be the only issue as i don't mind travelling - i'll have to see if it is possible to make the student loan stretch this far! I'd love to compete though!

Thanks for the responses guys.
I have asked a few other guys and am waiting for their responses. I am keen to get Alan Sneddon involved as I think he won big Al's Scotland's strongest hands comp (can't find the results on the forum just now)
I am flexible on a date and am happy to base things on the availability of the majority of participants. I think February is out as that is the time of the qualifiers for Scotland's strongest man and locals may be targetting that,
Are there any dates/months that Sam/Jose would want avoided.

I'm definetly interested, as long as its not this year as I have had a lot of time off due to a house refurb and am only really now starting to train again, 3-4 months away and a trip up to Edinburgh sounds great.

well it's £83 on the train to edinburgh for me so I'll not say a definite no but I'd probably prefer around february / march time, give me chance to get over the expense of xmas etc. Of course,if the events are not to my physical capabilities at the time then thats another matter altogether.
