That's the same day as the Big NADS comp in Northwich.

Hmm, that's unfortunate I'd been wanting to go to primal for a while anyway.

the choice is yours Paul, you could:
stay as you are
hold your competition on a different day
merge it with Primal fitness into one comp
see if Primal will let you run their comp and your comp sort of side by side in their premises
either way I committed to your comp first so I will attend yours if there is an overlap and look at Primal next year.
cheers,Lol

You wait ages for a grip comp, then two come along at once...
It seems we have inadvertently organised our grip competition for the same day as another grip comp in the North West, what are the chances of that!
Unfortunately, I did not come across this forum until after we had scheduled the competition
What I would say is that anyone who can't make it down to Primal on the Saturday as they are already going to NADS is more than welcome to come down any time for a free trial at the gym to compensate. Just call or email me to book a free trial and mention the World of Grip Forum.
Paul, if you are looking for a venue for your NADS comp and want to combine, or a venue for any future competitions please feel free to contact me. If I'd realised earlier I would have rescheduled, but all our promotional material is now out there so its a bit late
Si Primal

It would be cool if Paul could relocate to Primal...cos I live much closer to Primal than I do to Paul, and if I'm briniging 2 Inches...Well, I've thrown it up into the air; it's for someone else to knock it out of the ballpark.

Ok, I reckon the best option would be to combine the two then, I wasn't expecting all that many for mine, so it would be a shame for them to clash. Plus your place is possibly a better venue than my back yard

Big Primal NADS
Primal Fitness will be very please to host the Big NADS event.
Paul do you want to email me to discuss logistic and finalise the events - Maybe a few of your events and a few of ours?
Drop me a line at simon@primalfitness.co.uk and maybe we can arrange to meet up at some point?

Re: Primal Fitness Grip Competition, Manchester UK
as in my e-mail to Simon, the fat bar hang is something I wouldn't fancy as I have a dodgy shoulder and am too fat!

A one arm fat bar hang would be better - then you could use your good arm
That would be a good tie breaker event in some ways, I can imagine the *ahem* huskier gentlemen objecting though
Simon, email sent.

No worries, just load everyone up with weights until they weigh the same as me and then we'll see who hangs the longest!Paul Wood wrote:A one arm fat bar hang would be better - then you could use your good arm![]()

I reckon that hanging bar is not a test of grip strength since a 140lb guy is at a distinct advantage to us more manly types. I reckon a handicap system should be implemented, heaviest chap receives say 30 seconds start and so on down to nothing for the lightest. However, again I don't see it belonging in a true grip contest.
