British Hand Strength Association
This association is now over 1 year old, and of course we fully support it. It is the first and only hand strength association in the world.

The BHSA announces an annual championships award
Prior to this date each promoter and organizer of every grip competition has used the entry fees, sponsors help or paid from their own pocket for trophies, medals and the like. With help from BHSA member James Grahame and a very generous donation together with BHSA membership funds it is our intention to purchase a beautiful 15-inch solid silver salver.
The salver will be presented to the winner of each years BHSA championships. The plate will have engraved upon it the names of ALL the former winners of British Grip Championships as well as those winners of the years to come.
We're currently discussing design options etc with an award maker but to whet the appetite here's the salver pre inscription.

We hope, as has been the case so far, that this is yet another step for other fledgling hand strength associations across the world to follow. Like similar awards presented to winners of the FA Cup, Wimbledon and so on being presented the award and having ones name upon it will be seen as something to aspire to.
David Horne and I would, on behalf of all current and future BHSA members like to offer publicly our thanks to James for his kind and generous support of the association.
Show James his money was not wasted by renewing today and getting your names down to compete!

Re: British Hand Strength Association
I'd like to add also a big thank you to James Grahame - Bravo!
You are a top bloke, and when you come back to the UK, the BHSA will be a better organisation with you a part of it!
Also well done to Steve G. for getting this sorted, and of course congratulations to all the BHSA members for a great start so far.
Yes, as Steve says, get your names down for the Brits!

Re: British Hand Strength Association
Shouldn't have to chase them up, as you'd think they want the business. Maybe they are on holiday or something.

Re: British Hand Strength Association
Thanks for the kind words but this was definately a team effort.
Hopefully the trophy will be something people will aspire to win and I am looking forward to a few pics of this year's winner holding it with pride and a big cheesy grin.
It might also be a good vehicle for getting some press coverage of the BHSA and the competition in general.

Re: British Hand Strength Association
We've added a Gym membership to the BHSA today. It will be £20 for up to 10 members, and £2 extra after per head.
This is an incentive to get names down from big clubs who probably won't join. It also helps a lot in the current financial climate.
Also maybe will be a catalyst for some gyms to run some small low-key comps.
