1st Pilgrim Grip Comp, Plymouth, Massachusetts
Hi,
I don't know if anyone else would post it, but yesterday was the 1st Pilgrim Grip Comp. in Massachusetts, hosted by Brendan Dwyer. The official results will be posted on the gripboard (not up yet), but the top 3 are:
1) Brendan Dwyer
2) Charles Robbins
3) Matthew Carl (myself)
The events were:
1) MMS grippers
2) 2" V-bar
3) 2-hand pinch (custom device, not standard)
4) Medley
5) Freestyle bending, FBBC rules
6) Hub lift using Hampton 45 lb. plates with weight added.
It was a small group with just five of us, but a lot of fun. No world records broken, but I closed a #3 for the first time yesterday, so I'm quite pleased.

Matt,
Thanks - I'll get this Top 3 up on a minute.
Also well done on your 3rd place and #3 closure.

As I proved earlier this year; it takes 2 to make a contest! Congrats on the #3, that, plus your other efforts, sorts the Men from the Boys, even at this level.Matt Carl wrote:It was a small group with just five of us, but a lot of fun. You have hands to be proud of, my friend.
