Steve,
For everyone here, have you got any date for this or thoughts on events?

Re: 17th British Hand Strength Champs
Obviously starting with grippers and pinch... but I was going to ask for some suggestions for the next three. Paul and I discussed some ideas but as he's away I'll double check those on his return (variations on some old ideas). at the back of my mind is warming up, for those competing, for the Champion of Champions event in the summer. I'm also gonna play with the dates so there's a little space between the Peter Horne day and the CoC.

Sounds good!
The Vulcan would be CCS or 20 mm block?

Wouldn't a one hand deadlift without hook grip be much more interesting?

Perhaps. But it has been done at least once over the past few years.

The Deadlift with a hook hadn't been used in the Brits for a long time, and off the top of my head I think it's last appearance was 1991!
It'll be nice to see some 200k+ lifts done, and see what the strongmen can do.

20mm block as per the same way grippers have been contested in events for years (if we go the Vulcan route).

2006 when I first won the Brits I did 189 with a hook.

Re: 17th British Hand Strength Champs
Mark wont be aware, baring in mind it's extremely unlikely he'll compete here in the Brits, that we've pretty much contested the full list. Lucky for me I do ok on them all
