Right, I'm taking the website down today and starting from scratch - it looks like a virus that had slipped through onto David's computer may have embedded itself somewhere in an file uploaded by FTP. I can't find anything anywhere but better safe than sorry; the main World of Grip site will be down for maintenance at least for today, or until we get it sorted out.
There isn't anything wrong with the forum - I'll leave a link to it on the (otherwise empty) homepage while I'm doing the maintenance. As David said, it's all external and not even hosted on the same server as the main site. If you're getting redirected away from here then it's probably because you inadvertantly clicked on a link across the top. Best to avoid those

Another update - I'm pretty sure it's all fixed now. I found some nasty code hidden at the bottom of the index page, so I've removed that and checked other main pages to make sure there isn't any more. It looks like it was a low level hack - probably a hidden iframe inserted for tracking purposes and because it's a tracker, your anti-virus software was recognising it as a trojan.
I'm going to leave the site up today and we'll see how it goes. Please let me know if you get any new security alerts (from 12th March onward). I'll have a general site-wide tidy-up and redesign in the next couple of weeks.

I just got another pop-up. Three pop-ups at once, actually.

Okay, just want to clarify this to stop anybody from worrying about viruses etc.
The homepage (which I have also referred to as 'main site') is the www.davidhorne-gripmaster.com website. It is a different website from the forum, which is hosted independently. There was a problem with that site, which has now been fixed.
The forum (here) is completely seperate. It is a free forum, which means that you get some adverts at the top. I realised last night that when I wasn't signed in, if you hover over the words 'date' and 'time' at the top, and also over the words 'online' and 'birthday' at the bottom, there are invisible links that create little pop-up hover windows - for me, they link to a dating site, a calendar site and a betting site. It must just be another advertising avenue for the forum hosts. If you don't want to go to the pages, don't click on the links. It won't do your computer any harm if you do though.

Yesterday I was not sure, and so I did not want to answer just yet, but today I went to my "yesterday's history" folder, clicked on a link that took me to the main forum page, not the 'main page', and I got a pop-up about credit scores.

David and Elizabeth,
I am getting this pop up on trying to enter your main site. I've never seen this before and I use mac so this type of thing is very rare indeed.

I'm getting a trojan warning pop up when I click on the 'articles' link on the main site.
