Old-school strongman/bodybuilding/lifting gyms in UK
Ok guys, can you list down here any Old-school hardcore strongman/bodybuilding/weightlifting gyms in UK. Think about what you have in each of your areas.
Be good to have a list here, and maybe a website if they have one.
I'll pin this if it has a good list, and then it'll help all who want to find a gym on your travels.
Cheers.

Balbirnie Gym
Alburne Park
Glenrothes
Fife
Scotland
KY7 5RB
01592 751 437
Very hardcore lifters here when I first went many years ago but they now have a cardio section as well a room for machines and a (heavy) free weight area. Relatively small so it can get crowded when busy. PAYG or annual membership. It's been a couple of years since I've been so things may have changed a wee bit.

Dave's gym in Northwich is pretty good, has a lot of machines and cardio equipment, but also has a 'power room'
It's about £40 a year to join then £1 each time you go, or £3 for non-members, pretty reasonable these days.

PRIMAL FITNESS

Never been but have heard good things, looks great.

In Warrington I used to train at Hard Labour which was pretty good, think it was only £2 a pop:
www.hardlabourgym.co.uk
25 Grange Av
Warrington, WA4 1PN

Also trained at O'Malleys in Warrington with Paul Savage, again fairly basic and hardcore, in fact so basic it was missing such exotic equipment as weight collars! However this did lead to the hilarious sight of Paul sellotaping the bar to the power rack then trying to lift it, so it wasn't all bad.

Re: Old-school strongman/bodybuilding/lifting gyms in UK
I can't remember the name of the gym but there is a fantastic uber oldschool gym in Norwich city centre. Its so good it made me want to move there! Its run almost as a charity by the local church of England. It had tons of old fabricated equipment, Iron everywhere, and entrance was about a quid if I remember right! Anyway, if you are ever there, ask about and I am sure someone will have heard of it.

Looks good David, but think even more old school!
This place I am talking about is full of old weights that arent made anymore along with roman chairs, it looks like the sort of place Arnie was training in in his early days, like the land that time forgot. i've just googled it but no luck, I think my mate still goes there so next time I chat to him I'll ask.

Trust me, its well worth the visit. One of the things that impressed me the most is that they served food after your workout- beans on toast 50p if I remember right!
