Hardcore Gym

Post  David Horne on Sat Mar 21, 2009 8:34 am

Here's a hardcore Gym, that I certainly wouldn't mind training at. At a previous house I used to have a wooden Bench sunk into the ground - it did the job perfectly.

Lol, I'm already using that on the pec flye machine.
Very Happy

Good find too mobster, there is something really motivational about these sorts of gyms. Oldskool gyms are getting rarer by the day unfortunatly. Anyone know of any decent ones in the Cambridge area? I know of a great one in Norwich but 2hours drive is a bit far for me lol.

Cant believe that last one is a high school gym they have it so good in America my school gym was crap. Just an old universal multigym in the middle and a few bits of kit round the edge. Still my favorite PE lesson even though we only got to use it when it snowed.

Nice gym - I like gyms that have a mixture of quality/inovative new and Old Skool.

The level of training given to the young athletes in america is fantastic compared to this country.

we never had any weights at school, and no mention of weightlifting to help with sports. then when i left they built a fitness suite, that wasnt to be used by the pupils during the day. i like the idea of having them in schools, especially if they can teach people the proper lifting techniques at an early age, which isnt always the case

Not as hardcore as outside, but no pink DBs or smoothie machines to be found here...
