Elbow injury on both sides

Post  coombsfh on Sat Jun 20, 2009 1:16 pm

Since arm wrestling in Preston I have had not only missing sking but a dull ache all the time and on top of that a VERY notable pain in both elbows when I use any curl movement with or (more worryingly) without weight.
What could be wrong?

I'm no armwrestler, David or Pavel is probably the best people to advise you. However, personally I would want to make sure my own bio-mechanics i.e. flexibility in the joints, limb length etc lend themselves to arm wrestling without increasing the existing risk of injury. That's why I don't arm wrestle, toomuch inflexibility in the shoulders.

heavily to advise me something on distance ....

taste coach with small weight and more reps, pump blood in aching place,
flexibility and stretching,
and muscle balance - coach flexors and extensors
if hurt (pain) joint, take : Universal Animal Flex

and see here: http://www.dieselcrew.com/articles-pdf/Armwrestling-PullingBigIII.pdf
and read: PREHAB / REHAB

Armwrestling hurts - period!

But yes, get some blood in there, light workload.

I doubt you've done anything more than inflamed the area, and you will have to get used to this. Once you are, you will be fine to train more often.

Sounds like strained ligaments/tendons probably ligaments. Supplement and rest is a good idea, Glucosamine+ chondroitin, high vitamin C and an omega 3 fish oil. bounce

All is ok. A week of heavy use and labouring and cod liver oil and glucosamine seems to have stopped it...
