Braced Bending rule change

I’ve now slightly changed the rules, as I didn’t want a load of different measurements for differing lengths/widths steel bars. So now the rules for all Braced Bends are:

5. A completed bend is when the bar has been bent into a "u" and the legs are parallel or beyond parallel to each other.

This just makes it far easier to remember and judge.

I don't know if I'd class this as a feat of strength or just pig-headed determination. Last weekend I managed to wrestle the Inver stone up to my waist/chest which is the required height to be deemed successful. Sorry, no spectacular vids or photos of the lift (it was witnessed) but here are a couple of photos taken from the guest book.

There are a few Strongman Shows/Acts on youtube. Post them here if you like them.

What makes a good one? Mmmm, I think that obviously they have to be pretty decent feats, and be legitimate, but also the show has to flow, and be interesting.

Here's Stepan Ivanov of the Cirque du Soleil.

Just received my Dinnie Stone Ring Replica's from David, thanks again David , and I couldn't resist to give them a try even though I'm having a more or less de-load week.

I couldn't remember exactly what the weight of the stones was when I tried them, so I just started to add weight until I felt it was enough for today.

I made a video of the max lifts, which were 170kg on the big ring and 140kg on the small ring.

Here's the video:

If the handle or chain touches the leg this is not a cause for failure.
My training for basically three quarters of a year has been armwrestling, and great fun it's been to. Along with this I've trained all my bodyparts for the most of it in circuit type training. Strength endurance is as important to me as strength. I have a lot of thoughts on this, but another time.

Anyway I had a go at some loose pinching the other day, first in a while, just for fun, and my pinch is strong. So the armwrestling doesn't detract from this, but it does with my gripper work.

Not the outcome I had hoped for but I gave it 100%. If you're wondering what happens around 12 seconds in; then that's me attempting not to pass out from lack of blood to the brain!

Any tips as to what I should be doing to improve my 7" bending? I think you can see from the warm up the power's there, I just can't get it to act on a 7" length.
