Rolling Thunder: New Handle

Guys, I was thinking about this, after all of this talk about the increased difficulty of the new RT handles, why not hold a little friendly online contest - who can lift the most. I think my best is around the 175lb mark, achieved with a meager 7" set of hands. If we put that into an equation, that comes to 25 Pound per Inch. Let's see who score the best in regards to the Pounds per Inch system.

Who's up for it?

Wood vs Cannon Rolling Thunder Challenge

This is a transatlantic challenge between myself and Matt 'boom boom' Cannon

Neither of us are great rolling thunderers, so this will help motivate us to change that.

Like the other challenges, we'll keep records for max single and reps, but it will be a race to a 75kg single.

Current prs:

Me 65kg single, 55kgx12, 50kgx23

Matt: 62.5kg single, 56.8kgx10, 52.2kgx20

So I'd say we're fairly evenly matched to start.

How long shall it run for?
Say 6 months?

Rules?
Touch and go, or Paused. Probably Touch and Go since that's what both will be training on.

Anything else Paul?

cHARITY EVENT IDEAS

Hi guys

I work at the university of kent and in december they are holding a 3 day charity event called the big little challenge. Its 3 days of charity ideas that make up one big event.

I am thinking of doing some kind of strength challenge, what I have in mind is some kind of pulling event maybe a bus of somekind, or a combined deadlift (both me and my friend on one bar for a 400kg deadlift)

has anybody got any ideas or done something similar?

Obviously the event has to be doable ...

Stew stick your lifts here, and so will I, and of course anyone else who fancies it. We were close to each other before so it should be fun.

Stewart Killick v David Horne

Rules

Keep your bottom, upper back and head against the wall throughout the lift.

Heels no further forward than a 12” line in front of the wall.

I look forward to the fun!

Fancy a challenge?

I fancy a challenge on a couple of exercises that I do or would be useful for my armwrestling if anyone fancies it.
We can do a handicap challenge if anyone needs a head start of some kilos.

I am doing the One Hand Bench Press (with a dumbell) right now, and also would do a Curl against Wall, one handed, two handed or both.

90KG on 2HP for Reps--Challenge to Steve

Steve posted a vid of him doing 90KG on 2HP for 12 full reps. Two nights ago Paul told me about the video and I made a shot at trying to beat the record. I tied him with 12 full reps. Paul has the video on his camera. Steve asked me to challenge him on the Title Bash website, but I don't have the video on YouTube and it won't let me challenge anyone without video proof. So I'll just use this thread as a challenge and we can keep posting our PR's on this challenge. Anyone else besides Steve ...
