Yeah well done there, bet the arm wrestling takes quite a lot out of you.
You'd better get working hard, it might be 10k by Friday Razz
Are you doing the grip comp on Saturday?

Yeh i will be doing it... im not quite the grip daddy i should be, however im not bad Razz
I will be working on that more aswell because it is a crutial part of armwrestling.
If you get 10k ahead then there is next to no hope for me, but who knows.

Last night's benching:

BP: 15x20kg, 6x56, 5x76, 5x96, 4x98.5, 3x101, 2x103.5, 1x110(pr), 1x112.5(pr)

I believe the expression is ba ba boom Laughing

Maybe had a bit more energy not deadlifting first. Also got a lift off on the two singles which helped, last time I tried 110 I caught it on the hooks a bit. The guy doing the lifting off is british 90k bench champion (don't know which federation), so that was an added incentive!

Cheers, so far it's going better than I expected. I'm liking the 54321 scheme, having never tried heavy singles before it makes the first work sets feel much lighter in the hands. Might eventually move to a singles only scheme for a while.

Paul is flying right now, and has agreed yesterday to give Alex a 10k handicap so that it will be a bit closer.

No new max to report, but got a bit more on the rep sets.

BP: 15x20kg, 6x50, 5x80, 5x97.5, 4x100, 3x102.5, 2x105, 0x110
All work sets hard, last rep on each was a slow grinder. No lift off this time, think everyone had gone to watch the Man U game. Put the hooks a notch lower so it didn't catch, but then was starting each rep with a partial to lockout I suppose.

No new max again, in fact didn't even attempt any singles this time.

BP: 15x20kg, 6x51, 5x81, 5x98.5, 4x101, 3x103.5
The 5 and 4 felt ok, right arm felt a bit wobbly on the triple and the spotter just stabilised it a bit.

Did some bottom position singles from about 1” off the chest, once the rack was (finally) free:

Bottom position BP: 2x1x81, 1x91, 1x96

Nice stuff - definitely believe you'll get a 120 in the time frame.

Any updates from big Alex, not slacking I hope?

First time benching in 3 weeks and no spotter, just did the following to ease me back in:
15x20kg, 6x51, 5x71, 2x5x91

Alex isn't slacking at all, it's just very hard for him to get a big Bench when his arms are fucked all the time Laughing
