Curl against the Wall challenge

Post  David Horne on Mon Apr 13, 2009 12:23 pm

Stew stick your lifts here, and so will I, and of course anyone else who fancies it. We were close to each other before so it should be fun.

Stewart Killick v David Horne

Rules
Keep your bottom, upper back and head against the wall throughout the lift.
Heels no further forward than a 12” line in front of the wall.

I look forward to the fun!

Had a quick go tonight after my workout, went up to 30kg a side on ez bar (not sure what weight the bar is but its the same as the one in the picture).

Wasn't to bad but didn't want to go any heavier as its only my second bicep workout since starting back training properly and am trying to break myself in slowly.

Stew,
Nice stuff. Ez bar like that with the little collars is 8.5k, so well done on your 68.5k lift. Very nice start.

I may have a crack tomorrow.

My first go at a full range curl tonight as all I've been doing is armwrestling and all the Lock & Load training.

Curl Against the Wall 72.5k
Very pleased with this, and I felt strong, especially with left arm, as it was my right arm that tired.

Ongoing score so far, 14 April
David Horne v Stewart Killick

David Horne 72.5k
Stewart Killick 68.5k

Think Stew will get above 70 next session!

No improvement (in fact I was worse tonight, but it was after a long workout).

Lots of reps last night on my arms, and the against the wall stuff was done one armed with a dumbbell. Worked 5 reps all the way to 32.5k.

Don't be worrying, just keep improving all-round.

I will give a heavy one a go tomorrow before armwrestling training.
