cHARITY EVENT IDEAS

Post  ChrisKENT on Tue Aug 04, 2009 6:37 am

Hi guys

I work at the university of kent and in december they are holding a 3 day charity event called the big little challenge. Its 3 days of charity ideas that make up one big event.

I am thinking of doing some kind of strength challenge, what I have in mind is some kind of pulling event maybe a bus of somekind, or a combined deadlift (both me and my friend on one bar for a 400kg deadlift)

has anybody got any ideas or done something similar?
Obviously the event has to be doable but still look quite impressive, what do you think

There are lots of feats of strength out there, only need to check youtube. But you need to be proficiant at it, so it's best to look at your strengths and choose accordingly.

With that in mind a combined deadlift seems more realistic and easier to set up etc.

Not sure what the cross over from single man to two man is, we both weigh similar weight and height and both have a dead in the region of 200 and over so on paper a 400kg looks achieveable but not sure.

I've done this event in team strongman and if I remember rightly we pulled less than both of our single totals.
